Lay off usually arrives when it is not expected

Today I had a conversation with a person who has experienced a lay off at the company he works. Top managers of companies’ very often have weak communication skills especially with employees. Therefore, information about lay off usually comes very late. This kind of message drives a person to helpless and useless feeling; suddenly a man got the feeling that he has lost his self-esteem, even he has forgotten about his knowledge and he feels totally empty and lost. It is very upsetting to somebody who has worked hard for company’s targeted plans, actively participating in brainstorms for company’s future. At this point the top management level and the owner is the one to blame? Really? Or governments which didn’t follow the rules of macroeconomics that after economics rises there are down turns and need to be ready.
However, it will be better not to blame somebody, but to be understanding and try to learn from this situation. I believe nobody would feel comfortable of firing 1 or 300 people, but personnel managers and directors need to do it. Also, everybody wants to drive the country when economy rises, however nobody are really ready and willing to take a place of premier now.
Therefore, everybody should acknowledge that there are no need to look for a person to blame, but should remember that all skill and abilities you have achieved are not lost somewhere at this point. Also, your knowledge nobody can take away. Even more, now you should start to do things you really love and develop your skills. For instance, everybody can explore internet, there are lot information which you can use for your development without any charge.
